Point the camera at the QR code on the table: the page opens in the browser, no sign-in, and you can track your order with the table QR code item by item. Each line shows Waiting, Preparing, Ready or Served, and the screen updates on its own when the kitchen marks something done.
What shows up on the table screen
Tracking your order with the table QR code means opening, on the guest's own phone, the same picture the kitchen and the waiter are seeing. The QR code on the table leads to a public page of the restaurant: no sign-in, no password, no app. It shows that table's order with the name of whoever ordered, the waiter looking after it and a track with four stops — Ordered, Preparing, Ready and Served.
Below the track comes the order list, and that's where the magic is: each item moves on its own. The main course can be Ready while dessert is still Preparing, and the screen says exactly that instead of giving the whole order a single status. While the waiter is still putting the tab together, the order shows as Draft, with the items marked On the list.
Why this changes the wait at the table
- No more "did they put ours in?". The guest sees the order go in, the kitchen pick it up and each item get ready. The waiter stops being interrupted every five minutes just to give an update.
- Each item has a life of its own. Instead of one status for the whole order, the list shows Waiting, Preparing, Ready and Served line by line — and the track counts how many items are still in the kitchen and how many are already ready.
- The screen moves by itself. When the prep station marks an item done, the table page redraws right away, without reloading and without losing your scroll position. Nobody has to keep pulling the screen down.
- Zero friction for the guest. It's the phone camera and nothing else: qmen.us runs in the browser, there's no app in a store and the table page doesn't ask anyone to sign in. Sit down, point, and you're already tracking.
- It costs nobody anything. qmen.us is free for the restaurant with no commission per order, because we're not a marketplace like iFood. And it doesn't process money: PIX is settled directly between the customer and the restaurant.
How to track your order with the table QR code in 7 steps
Seven steps, from the phone camera to the rating at the end of the meal. None of them asks you to sign up.
-
Point the camera at the QR code
The QR code is stuck to the table. Open the phone camera, point it and tap the link that pops up: the page opens in the browser, at an address like qmen.us/your-restaurant/t/7. No sign-up, password or app to install. At the top you see the Table label with its code, the restaurant's name and the title Your orders.
-
Check that it's your order
The card shows the name of whoever ordered — or Order with its number, if nobody gave a name — and the line with followed by the waiter looking after the table. On the right sits the big label for the current stage: Ordered, Preparing, Ready or Served. If the table has nothing yet, the screen tells you no order has been placed there.
-
Follow the four-stage track
Just below there's a strip with four stops: Ordered, Preparing, Ready and Served. Stops already passed get a check mark, and the current one lights up. Under each one is the detail of the moment, like 3 items in the kitchen or 1 item ready — you can see which part of the table's order is already out even before the whole order is ready.
-
Read the status line
Above the track there's a sentence in plain language: Putting your order together while the waiter is still writing it down, The kitchen is preparing it with the note Ready in about 15 min, Order ready! when the prep station marks it done and All served — enjoy your meal! at the end. The time estimate comes from that kitchen's real pace over its latest orders.
Tip: When there's very little time left, the note switches to Ready any minute now — that's your cue to put the phone down. -
Follow it item by item
The list shows each line of the order with the quantity, the name, the size or flavor chosen and any note you asked for. Each one has its own label: Waiting, Preparing, Ready or Served. While the order is still just a Draft in the waiter's hands, the items show as On the list: there's still time to fix something before it goes to the kitchen.
-
Leave the screen open
No need to pull down to refresh. The page stays connected to the table in real time and redraws itself with every change from the kitchen or the waiter — the footer says so with This screen updates automatically. An item the waiter added but hasn't sent yet stays off the list until it goes to the kitchen, so what you see is always what the kitchen has already received.
-
Call the waiter or rate at the end
If the restaurant has turned on waiter calls, the Call waiter button appears as soon as the phone confirms you're really at the restaurant; one tap instantly alerts the waiter with the fewest tables to look after. When everything has arrived, the order turns Served and the How was it? card shows up with the Rate your order button — it takes half a minute and the owner reads it.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to sign in or download an app?+
Neither. qmen.us runs in the browser: the camera opens the table link and the page loads straight away, no account, no password and no app store. If you're signed in with your Google account, we just save this visit in your table history; tracking itself works the same for anyone who hasn't signed in.
Does the table screen show the order total?+
No. The list shows the quantity, the item name, the choices, the note and what stage it's at, without prices. The total shows up when you put the order together yourself on the Place an order page, where the cart adds it up before sending, like R$ 42,00. The tab's bill is settled with the restaurant, and qmen.us doesn't process money: PIX or cash is arranged directly between you and the restaurant.
Does everyone at the table see the same orders?+
Yes. The QR code belongs to the table, not the person, so anyone who scans it opens the same screen with the current order and, just below, the Also at this table block with the previous order. If an order shouldn't appear there, the waiter has the Hide from table page button in their app, and the Show on table page button puts the order back on the screen.
The order disappeared from the screen. Did I lose something?+
No. When the waiter taps Free table to seat the next guests, the table is cleared for the next order. The screen also only shows the current order and the previous one, so older orders from the evening drop out of view. The history stays with the restaurant.
Where does Ready in about 15 min come from?+
From the restaurant itself. qmen.us looks at how long that restaurant's recent orders took between going to the kitchen and being ready, and uses that pace as the estimate, minus the time already gone by. When there's little time left, the text turns into Ready any minute now. It's an estimate, not a promise.
Do I have to keep reloading the page?+
No need. The page keeps a real-time connection to the table and redraws itself with every change, without flickering and without losing your scroll position. If the connection drops, it reconnects on its own, and on a phone with JavaScript turned off the screen reloads every few seconds.
