FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How do I create the tables for my restaurant?+
In your restaurant's Dashboard, go to “Tables” and tap “New table”. Give each table a name or number — its QR code is generated automatically, ready for you to print and stick on the table.
Does the guest need to install an app?+
No. Guests just scan the table's QR code with their phone camera and follow the digital menu and their order right in the browser, with no sign-in and nothing to install.
How does splitting orders between kitchens work?+
Each menu item can be assigned to a kitchen (e.g. “Hot kitchen”, “Bar”). When the waiter sends the order, each item shows up only on the display of the kitchen in charge of it.
Can I use qmen.us for more than one restaurant?+
Yes. Your account can have access to more than one restaurant — just switch between them on the profile selection screen, without signing out and back in.
Can an order be cancelled after it's sent?+
Yes. An item or an order can be marked “Cancelled” by either the waiter or the kitchen, and the status updates for everyone in real time, including the guest's screen.
Do I have to pay to use qmen.us?+
For now, every qmen.us feature is free. In the future we may add paid advanced, non-essential features, but everything that exists today stays free.
