Fill in the Address in Settings and adjust the pin on the map: once the coordinates are saved, your restaurant shows up on the restaurant map at qmen.us/restaurants, both in the card list and as a pin. People searching can filter by Open now, sort by Nearest and see the distance to your door.
What the qmen.us public map is
Showing up on the restaurant map means being on qmen.us/restaurants, the public page that puts every active restaurant with saved coordinates on a single map. On one side is the list of cards, with logo, name, address and the Open or Closed badge; on the other, the map with one pin per restaurant. Hovering over a card highlights the matching pin, and clicking the pin opens that restaurant's detail panel.
Nobody is hand-picked for this list: what decides it is a pair of coordinates. If you typed the address and chose a suggestion, the pin is already set; if you only typed it and saved, we look up the latitude and longitude ourselves. Without that pair, the restaurant still has its public page, menu and table QR codes working normally, but it stays off the map.
Why being on the map is worth it
- People nearby find you first. When a visitor taps Use my location, the button turns into Near you and each card starts showing the distance and an estimate of minutes on foot. The Nearest sort puts whoever is right around the corner at the top of the list — and there's also Name (A–Z), for people who already know what they're looking for.
- The open filter uses your real hours. The Open now chip compares the current time with the Opening hours you set and hides everyone who's closed. Restaurants that haven't set any hours disappear too, which is reason enough to fill in that block.
- The pin looks like your restaurant. When you upload your logo, we pull two colors from it and use them on the card's borders and on the map pin itself. Without a logo, the pin shows the first letter of the name. It's how your brand shows up before anyone even clicks.
- The detail panel shows your dining room live. When someone selects a restaurant, the map opens a panel with the address, hours, distance and labels loaded on the spot: how many items the menu has, an approximate average price and how busy the dining room is, from Quiet right now to Packed. The View menu button goes straight to your public page.
- Search understands names and addresses. The Search restaurants or addresses… field filters both at once, so someone who types the name of your street finds you too. On a phone, the List and Map buttons switch between the two views without leaving the page.
How to get on the restaurant map in 6 steps
There are six steps inside Settings, from the Address field to checking your pin once it's live. It takes less time than printing a table QR code.
-
Open Settings on the Dashboard
On the restaurant Dashboard, at qmen.us/restaurante/painel/, go to Settings. Scroll down to the Location block: that's where the fields that put your restaurant on the map are.
-
Type the address and choose the suggestion
In the Address field, start typing the street and number. The suggestion box opens below the field as you type; click the one that matches your door. Choosing a suggestion already sets the pin on the map just below, so this is usually the only step that matters.
-
Fill in the city, state and CEP
Right below are City, State (2-letter code) and Postal code (CEP). They don't move the pin, but they go into your public page's structured data and, as the field's own hint says, help the restaurant show up in searches like “restaurant in Porto Alegre”.
-
Fine-tune the exact spot on the map
The map below the fields shows where we think you are. Drag the marker — or click right on the correct spot — until the pin lands on your door, not in the middle of the block. This matters because the distance the customer sees on the card is measured from that point.
Tip: If you save only the address, without touching the map, we look up the coordinates ourselves. When the address changes and the pin stays where it was, that lookup runs again on the next save. -
Set your opening hours
Still in Settings, fill in Opening hours, with the time slots for each day of the week. They're what generate the Open or Closed badge on the card, the Closes at and the map's Open now chip. With no hours set, the card shows no status and drops out when someone turns on that filter.
-
Click Save and check the map
Click Save at the bottom of the page. Then open Restaurants in the site's top menu, or go straight to qmen.us/restaurants, and look up your restaurant's name in the Search restaurants or addresses… field. The card and the pin show up right away — click the card to watch the map fly to your spot.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to pay anything to show up on the map?+
No. The map is a qmen.us public page and it includes every active restaurant with saved coordinates, with no paid placement and no bidding for position. qmen.us is free for the restaurant and doesn't charge commission per order, because we're not a marketplace: the list is ordered by name or by the viewer's distance, never by who paid more.
I saved the address and my restaurant doesn't show up. What could it be?+
Check three things. First, whether the pin was set on the map in Settings: without latitude and longitude the restaurant isn't included. Second, the viewer's filters — the Open now chip hides anyone who's closed (and anyone who hasn't set hours), and the Up to slider limits results to 5 km by default. Third, the search field: any text there already filters the list.
Do I need to set opening hours to get on the map?+
To get on it, no: an address with coordinates is enough. But without Opening hours the card has no Open or Closed badge and no Closes at, and it disappears from the list as soon as someone turns on the Open now filter. Setting your hours is the cheapest way to avoid vanishing right at lunchtime.
The pin landed in the wrong place. Can I fix it?+
Yes, as many times as you need. Go back to Settings, drag the marker or click the right spot on the map and click Save. The public pin starts using the new point, and the distance the customer sees is calculated from it.
What does the customer see when they click my pin?+
A panel opens with your logo, name, address, hours, the distance with an estimate of minutes on foot and a few labels loaded on the spot: how many items the menu has, an approximate average price and how busy the dining room is, from Quiet right now to Packed. At the bottom is the View menu button, which takes them to your public page.
Does the customer need to install an app to use the map?+
No. qmen.us runs in the browser, from the map to the order: the customer opens qmen.us/restaurants, picks a restaurant and lands on the menu without downloading anything and without signing in. Payment, PIX included, is arranged directly between them and the restaurant — we don't process money.
