In the dashboard, tap Coupons and rewards and choose Cashback or Stamp card. Fill in the percentage, or the stamps and the amount off with a full card, and save. Customers sign in with Google, earn when you mark the order as paid and use their balance as a discount.
What the rewards program is
It's a customer's card at your place, without the paper. Each restaurant chooses one of two programs, or neither. With cashback, a percentage of each paid order becomes balance to spend on the next one. With a stamp card, each paid visit earns a stamp, and a full card gives an amount off.
The balance only works at the restaurant where it was earned. You fund the discount: it comes off your revenue when the customer uses it, and the service charge and tip are still worked out on the full item value. qmen.us charges nothing for the program.
Which one to choose
- Cashback suits varied spending. Whoever spends more earns more, and the cost is a fixed percentage of sales.
- Stamps are easier to explain. "Ten visits, $10 off" fits in one sentence and works well for regulars, such as a lunch crowd.
- The minimum order protects your stamps. Without one, a coffee earns the same stamp as a dinner.
- You can switch later. When you change programs, the old balances are kept, but customers only see and use the program that's currently on.
- The invitation appears by itself. With the program on, the table page, the order tracker, the kiosk and the tablet invite customers to join.
How to turn it on and use it, step by step
There are five steps: two in the dashboard and three in daily use.
-
Choose the program
In the dashboard, tap the Coupons and rewards card. In the Rewards program box, choose Off, Cashback or Stamp card. The fields for each one appear when you choose it.
-
Fill in the rules and save
For cashback, fill in Cashback (%). For stamps, fill in Stamps for a full card, from 2 to 30, Amount off with a full card and, if you want, Minimum order for a stamp. In Expire after (days), say how many days without earning make the balance disappear; left empty, it never expires. Tap Save.
-
The customer adds the order to their card
Anyone ordering by phone while signed in with Google already has the order on their card. Otherwise the customer opens the invitation on their own phone: the Earn rewards on this order link on the table page or the order tracker, or the QR the kiosk and tablet show after the order. They sign in with Google and tap Add this order to my card. This works for two days after the order, and at a table it covers all the open rounds.
-
Mark the order as paid
The customer earns when the order becomes paid: through the Mark as paid button, in the dashboard or the waiter app, or through a confirmed PIX. The calculation uses the items after discounts, without service charge, tip or delivery. At a table, all the rounds count as one visit, so they earn only one stamp.
Tip: An order never marked as paid earns nothing. If your place takes the money and frees the table without marking it as paid, the customer loses what they earned. -
The customer uses the balance
Signed-in customers with a balance get the offer in the delivery and pickup chat, before choosing where to receive the order. At the table, on the kiosk and on the tablet, they use it through the same link or QR: Take off this bill removes the amount from the open bill, and Don't use it now gives it back. The balance is held on the order and returns by itself if the order is cancelled.
Frequently asked questions
Does the customer need an account?+
They need to sign in with Google, with no separate registration. That's what stops someone else from spending their balance. Anyone who doesn't want to sign in can order normally and just doesn't collect anything.
Why can't customers earn by phone number?+
Without confirming the number with a code, anyone typing someone else's phone number could spend that person's balance. That's why the program uses the Google account.
What if an order is cancelled after being paid?+
What it earned comes off the customer's balance. If they used balance on that order, that amount goes back.
How does the balance expire?+
All at once, after the number of days you set without the customer earning anything. Each new earning restarts the count. If the field is empty, the balance doesn't expire.
Can the customer see their balance somewhere?+
Yes. On the invitation page, with the balance or stamps, and in the visits list in their account, under My rewards, with every place where they've earned.
Can coupons and rewards be used together?+
Yes. The coupon comes off first and the balance covers what's left of the items. The total never goes below the delivery fee, service charge and tip.
