It works as a direct deal: PIX in qmen.us goes to the restaurant's own key, without passing through us. The customer pays with the QR code or the copy-and-paste code in the chat, taps I've paid, and the owner checks the account and taps Confirm payment. Only then does the order reach the kitchen.
What a direct PIX payment is
PIX in qmen.us is a direct deal, not a card machine. We're not a bank, not a payment gateway and there's no account in the middle: what the system does is build, on the spot, the payment code with your key and that order's amount. The customer scans or copies it, their bank transfers to yours, and that's it — the money never passes through us.
What's left for the system is the tedious part: recording that the customer said they paid, holding the order as a Draft away from the kitchen, alerting you on the Dashboard and waiting for you to tap Confirm payment. It takes two taps by two different people, one on each side of the deal, and that's what keeps the restaurant from preparing an order nobody paid for.
Why we stay out of your money
- The money is yours from the first second. There's no payout to wait for and no balance stuck on a platform: the transfer leaves the customer's bank and reaches your account, because the code carries your key, not ours.
- You pay no commission per order. qmen.us is free for the restaurant and charges no percentage of sales. Since we never touch the money, there's nowhere to take a cut from anyway.
- The kitchen doesn't cook for free. The order is only sent through after you've seen the amount land in your account. Until then it sits still, off the display and off the printer.
- You decide, by looking at your statement. Nobody makes you trust a notice on the screen: you're the one who checks, at your bank, and the Confirm payment button is just the record of that check.
- If something goes wrong, there's a chat. A doubtful receipt or a PIX payment that never arrived turns into a chat with the customer, with the receipt attached, instead of an order lost in the middle of service.
How to turn on and use PIX in qmen.us in 7 steps
There are seven steps: two to turn it on, one to know what the customer sees and four to run confirmation day to day.
-
Turn on chat ordering and delivery
PIX lives inside delivery orders, so it depends on two toggles first. In Settings, in the General block, turn on Self-ordering with the virtual waiter (chat) and, right below it, Accept home delivery orders. Only with both on do the payment options appear, indented underneath.
-
Turn on PIX payment and add your key
Turn on PIX payment and fill in the PIX key: CPF/CNPJ, email, phone number or random key. The Recipient name is optional and lets the customer check who they're paying; if it's empty, we use the restaurant's name. Save. A blank key means PIX is effectively off, even with the toggle on.
Tip: Next to it there's also Pay on delivery. With both on, the chat asks the customer: Pay now via PIX or Pay when it arrives. -
See what the customer sees when it's time to pay
After choosing the items, the address, their name and phone number, the chat shows a QR code and the copy-and-paste code with the order amount already built in. There's a Copy code button and an I've paid button. When they tap I've paid, the customer can also enter the name of whoever made the PIX payment — it's optional and helps you find the entry in your statement.
-
Understand the order on hold
When the customer says they've paid, the order doesn't rush off to the kitchen: it stays as a Draft, flagged as payment reported, and stays off the display until you confirm. Nobody prepares anything that hasn't been checked. On the customer's tracking page it shows Awaiting payment, with a note that the restaurant confirms the PIX payment and then starts preparing.
-
Check your account and confirm the payment
The Payments to confirm block appears on the Dashboard, with the amount, the customer's name, the address, who made the PIX payment and how long ago. Open your bank app, see whether the money landed and tap Confirm payment. At that moment the order is marked paid, goes to the kitchen and the ticket prints at the prep station that has a printer.
-
If the PIX payment didn't land, chat or reject
After a few minutes without confirmation, a chat opens between the two of you. The customer can write and attach the receipt (image or PDF, up to 8 MB); you reply through Chat on the Dashboard or through the chat on the order screen. If the money really didn't arrive, Reject order asks for confirmation and cancels — the customer is notified right away.
-
Remember that at the table the deal is different
Guests who order through the Table QR code don't see PIX at all: the order goes straight to the kitchen and payment happens in the dining room, the way you always do it. If you want it on record, open the order on the Dashboard and tap Mark as paid — it gets the Paid label. The same goes for delivery paid to the driver.
Frequently asked questions
Does qmen.us keep any part of the PIX payment?+
It keeps nothing. We don't receive, hold or pass on money: the code the customer pays is built with your PIX key, so the transfer goes from their bank straight to yours. There's no commission per order and qmen.us isn't a marketplace.
What if the customer says they paid and they didn't?+
The order stays on hold as a Draft, waiting. It doesn't reach the kitchen, doesn't print and nobody starts preparing it. You only tap Confirm payment after seeing the money in your account; if it didn't land, Reject order cancels it and the customer is notified in their chat.
Can guests pay by PIX at the table too?+
No. PIX only appears on delivery orders placed through the chat on the restaurant's page. Guests in the dining room using the table QR code settle payment with you on the spot, as always, and the order goes straight to the kitchen. On the order screen you use Mark as paid.
Is the amount already correct in the code?+
Yes. The order total goes into the copy-and-paste code and the QR code, so the customer doesn't type a single cent and can't get the key wrong. Cancelled items don't count toward the amount, and the QR code is generated on the spot for that order — it isn't a fixed sign.
Do I need to register a bank account in qmen.us?+
No. The only required field is the PIX key, and the Recipient name is optional. While the key is empty, the option to pay by PIX simply doesn't show up for the customer, even with the toggle on.
