Open the Dashboard at qmen.us/restaurante/painel/ and look at the Revenue today card: it adds up the total of every order marked as paid today. Below, on the same line, you see how many orders were paid and the average order, which is today's revenue divided by the number of orders.
What today's revenue on the Dashboard is
Today's revenue is a Dashboard card called Revenue today. It takes every order at your restaurant that had its payment recorded between midnight and now, adds up each one's total and shows the result in whole reais. Each order's total is the sum of its lines, at the price in effect when each was entered, minus anything that was cancelled — the same amount the waiter sees when closing the bill.
Right below comes the average order, and the math couldn't be simpler: revenue divided by the number of orders paid that day. Two orders of R$ 30,00 and one of R$ 60,00 give R$ 120 in revenue and an average order of R$ 40. It's a number to read together with the other one: high revenue with a low average order means lots of traffic; similar revenue with a rising average order means the restaurant is selling more per table.
Why look at these two numbers every day
- You close out the register without a calculator. The total builds up while service is running, order by order, so at the end of the night the number is already on the screen instead of coming out of a pile of tickets.
- The average order shows the effect of your menu. You changed a price, created a combo, trained the team to offer dessert: the result shows up in this number before it shows up in foot traffic.
- It's settled money, not a promise. Only what someone marked as paid counts, so the card doesn't swell with open bills or with orders that ended up cancelled halfway.
- You can check it in the middle of service. The Dashboard updates itself, without pressing F5, and runs in the browser on the phone, the tablet or the register computer — there's no app to install.
- The money stays yours alone. We show the math; we don't collect anything for you: cash, card machine or PIX is arranged directly with the customer, with no commission per order.
How to follow revenue and average order in 7 steps
There are seven steps: four to read the right number on the Dashboard every day and three to look at history when the question is about the week or the month.
-
Open the Dashboard and find the card
Go to qmen.us/restaurante/painel/, signed in to your account. In the row of cards at the top, the third one is Revenue today, next to Active orders, Occupied tables and Average prep time. The big number is the total, in reais, of everything paid today.
-
Read the bottom line of the card
Below the amount comes the sentence that explains the math: how many paid orders the day had and, after the dot, the average order. It's revenue divided by that number of orders — nothing more. With 8 orders and R$ 336 for the day, the card shows an average order of R$ 42.
-
Mark the order as paid
An order only counts toward the total after someone records the payment. Open the order from the Dashboard and tap Mark as paid; the same button exists in the waiter app, on the order screen. The order gets the Paid label and the card goes up instantly. Closing the bill and freeing the table are different actions: they don't touch revenue.
Tip: For delivery orders paid by PIX, that job is done by Confirm payment in the Payments to confirm block. It already marks the order as paid. -
Follow it during service
You don't need to reload the page: the Dashboard listens to what's happening in the restaurant and also updates itself every minute. You can leave the screen open in a corner by the register and watch the number climb as bills are settled. At midnight the day turns over and the card starts again from zero.
-
Understand what doesn't count
The card looks at when the payment happened, not when the order was placed. An open bill that hasn't been paid doesn't show up; a cancelled item comes off the total before it's added; and an order from yesterday that you marked as paid today counts today. That's why today's revenue is recognized money, not expected sales.
-
Open Reports to compare days
The Dashboard is a snapshot of today; the history lives at qmen.us/restaurante/relatorios/. There, Average order is one of four indicators, along with Revenue, Orders and Prep time, and the amount shows cents. Choose 7 days, 30 days, 90 days or a date range and turn on Compare with previous period to see whether it went up or down.
-
Look by waiter and take it to a spreadsheet
Still in Reports, the Performance by waiter block shows orders, revenue and average order for each one — that's where you see who suggests dessert. The Best-selling items tell the rest of the story. To close the month in your own spreadsheet, use Export CSV at the top of the screen.
Frequently asked questions
We sold well today and revenue is at zero. Why?+
Because no order has been marked as paid yet. The card doesn't count open orders, Drafts or bills closed without a recorded payment: it only adds up what carries the paid stamp. Open the day's orders and tap Mark as paid on each one that has been settled.
An order from yesterday, paid today: which day does it count on?+
Today. The math looks at when the payment was recorded, not when the order was opened. A table that stayed past midnight, a delivery paid the next day — all of that falls into the revenue of the day you tapped Mark as paid or Confirm payment.
Why does the Dashboard show the amount without cents?+
The Dashboard rounds to whole reais, both revenue and average order, so the number can be read from a distance. When you need the amount with cents, open Reports: there the average order comes out in the R$ 42,00 format and you can export everything as CSV.
Does the Dashboard number match the one in Reports?+
Not always, because they measure differently. The Dashboard adds up what was paid today; Reports add up the orders placed in the chosen period, leaving out Drafts and cancelled orders, regardless of whether anyone recorded the payment. A meal served on credit shows up in Reports and not on the Dashboard.
Do cancelled items count toward the average order?+
No. Each order's total adds up only the lines still standing; a cancelled item comes out of the math before it becomes revenue. In Reports, a fully cancelled order is also left out of revenue, order count and average order.
Does qmen.us keep a share of that revenue?+
It keeps nothing. We don't collect, don't pass anything on and don't charge commission per order: the money is arranged directly between you and the customer, in cash, on your restaurant's card machine or by PIX straight into your account. qmen.us is free for the restaurant and isn't a marketplace.
