Look under Live orders on the Dashboard: a delivery order shows up there with a bag icon in place of the table number. Tap it to open the order screen, with the address, phone number, payment method and total. The kitchen gets the same order labeled Delivery.
What an order without a table really is
A delivery order on the Dashboard is, at heart, an order without a table. Every order here is tied to a place: the table the waiter opened or the one the guest scanned with the table QR code. When the customer orders from the restaurant's public page and gives an address, there's no table to tie it to — so we swap the table number for the Delivery label.
It has a cousin: an order that started in the chat and hasn't picked a destination yet. That one shows as Via chat. Both travel the same path as always — the same list on the Dashboard, the same queue in the kitchen, the same waiter app — and the only difference is what's written in the corner where Table 7 would normally go.
Why it's worth understanding this label
- You won't lose the order among the table orders. Since everything lands on one list, in order of arrival and updating by itself, there's no hidden screen to keep checking now and then. The bag stands out among the numbers.
- The address stays with whoever needs it. The kitchen sees food, the Dashboard sees the customer. The address and phone number appear on the order screen, not on the display or the printed ticket — which stays lean and quick to read at the station.
- Delivery doesn't take up a table. The occupied tables KPI keeps counting only the dining room, so the number at the top of the Dashboard keeps telling the truth about how many tables you have free right now.
- The order is yours, not a marketplace's. qmen.us is free for the restaurant, with no commission per order, and doesn't touch the money: when there's PIX, the customer pays straight into the restaurant's key.
How to follow a delivery order on the Dashboard in 7 steps
Seven steps: three to find and open the order, two to know what the kitchen and the waiter see, and two to wrap up the day properly.
-
Open the Dashboard and look at Live orders
qmen.us runs in the browser, there's no app in any store: go to the site and open the restaurant's Dashboard. On the left is the Live orders block, which lists the orders in progress and updates by itself — no need to hit F5. Table orders and delivery orders sit there together, newest first.
-
Spot delivery by the bag icon
In place of the little square with the table number, a delivery order shows a takeout bag icon; its alt text is Delivery. Next to it come the items, the quantity, the total in R$ 42,00, how long ago the order came in and the status tag: Ordered, Preparing, Ready or Served.
Tip: If the customer started in the chat and hasn't said where it's going yet, the order shows as Via chat — same place, same list, just no destination yet. -
Tap the order to see the address and phone
Clicking the order opens its screen. At the top it says Delivery and, right below, the line with Delivery: and the address the customer typed in the chat, Phone: and the number they left, and the payment method — PIX or on delivery. Further down is the item list, with each item's note, and the total.
-
See how the kitchen gets this order
On the kitchen display, the card shows Delivery where the table number usually goes, in the same queue as the others and with the same ORDER READY? button. The address isn't sent to the display: whoever's cooking doesn't need it. If the station has a printer, the ticket also prints with Delivery in place of the table.
-
Find the same order on the waiter screen
The delivery order also shows under Active orders in the waiter app, with a little chat bubble in place of the number and the Delivery label. The order is signed by Service, the virtual waiter we use to mark orders placed by the customer themselves — no real waiter has to write anything down.
-
Close the bill and mark it paid
On the order screen there's Close bill, which locks out new items, and Mark as paid, which stamps the Paid tag and adds the amount to Revenue today on the Dashboard. The Free table button doesn't appear here, and that's on purpose: delivery doesn't take up any table, so there's nothing to free.
-
Know where an order held for PIX sits
If the customer chose to pay by PIX up front, the order doesn't go into Live orders: it stays a Draft in the Payments to confirm block, at the top of the Dashboard, with the amount, name, address and how long ago it arrived. It only moves down to the live list and the kitchen after your Confirm payment.
Frequently asked questions
Do delivery orders show up with the table orders?+
Yes, on the same Live orders list, in order of arrival. There's no separate tab or delivery filter: what changes is the little square on the left, which becomes a bag icon instead of the table number. The same goes for the kitchen and the waiter app.
Does the Served tag mean the driver delivered it?+
Not always. Served means every item was marked as handed over: by your staff, by the customer with I got my order, or by the courier with the Delivered button on the page they get from the Send to a courier card. qmen.us doesn't track the courier on a map or calculate routes. See <a href="/resources/delivery-and-pickup/delivery-fee-minimum-order-and-couriers/">delivery fee, minimum order and couriers</a>.
Does qmen.us charge a commission on delivery orders?+
It charges nothing. qmen.us is free for the restaurant and takes no percentage of any sale. We don't process money either: when there's PIX, the customer pays straight into the restaurant's key. It's not a marketplace, it's your menu on your page.
No delivery orders show up on my Dashboard. Why?+
Check the switches in Settings. Self-ordering with the virtual waiter (chat) has to be on and, right below it, Accept home delivery orders. With the second one off, customers can only order at a table, and no delivery order comes in.
Does the kitchen see the customer's address?+
No. The display card and the printed ticket show only Delivery, where the table would go. The address, phone number and payment method stay on the order screen, inside the Dashboard — used by whoever packs the bag and calls the driver.
