Open Tables on your Dashboard, click New table and enter a number or code — qmen.us generates the public link and the table QR code for you. You can give it a name, print all the QR codes on a single sheet and stick one on each table. Guests scan it with no sign-in and no app to download.
What a table QR code is
Every table you create gets its own public address, in the format qmen.us/your-restaurant/t/7/. The table QR code is that address turned into an image: whoever points their camera at it lands right on that table's page, sees the menu and follows their order live — no sign-in, no sign-up and nothing to install, because everything runs in the browser.
In practice, the table is what ties an order to a spot in your restaurant. The waiter opens the order from the table, the kitchen gets the ticket already labeled, and the guest, phone in hand, sees each item leave Draft and move through Preparing, Ready and Served without having to call anyone over to ask.
Why it's worth setting up table by table
- The code doesn't change, so the sticker lasts. The number or code you choose goes into the link and stays locked there. Print it once and the same sticker works all year — the visible name you can change whenever you like.
- Guests get in with no barriers at all. No sign-in, no app to download, no password. They point the camera, the menu opens, and they follow their own order on their own phone.
- The Kitchen always knows where it came from. With the table tied to the order, the ticket arrives labeled and nobody has to match slips against the dining room to know where to take the dish.
- You can print every table at once. One page gathers the QR codes of all active tables, three per row, with the name and link underneath. You cut and stick.
- Table or Tab, the way your restaurant talks. If guests get a numbered tab instead of sitting at a table, you switch the term and the app starts speaking your language.
How to create your tables and print the QR codes
Seven steps, from an empty Dashboard to the sticker in place and tested on your phone.
-
Open the Tables page
On your restaurant's Dashboard, go to Tables. The page opens with the dining room counters — total tables, in use now, free, and the amount still open — and one card for each table you've created. If you just created the restaurant, the grid is empty and only the New table tile shows.
-
Decide between Table and Tab
If your restaurant hands out a numbered tab instead of seating guests at a table, go to Settings and switch What to call your tables from Table to Tab. The term changes on the Dashboard and service screens. It's worth deciding this before you start creating, because that's what the app will call everything from then on.
-
Create your first table
Click New table — the button at the top or the tile in the grid. Fill in Number or code (7, back-2 or patio-1 all work) and, if you like, a Name (like Window table). Confirm with Create table and the card appears right away, with its QR code and link ready. We reject repeated codes, so every table stays unique.
Tip: The code goes into the link and can't be changed later — that's exactly what keeps the QR code stable. The name, you can change whenever you like. -
Check the QR code and the public link
On the card, tap View QR to open the image in a large size with the address underneath. Copy link grabs the address so you can send it to the waiter on WhatsApp, and Open shows the page exactly as guests see it. The card also has a QR thumbnail and the short link with a copy button, so you don't have to open anything.
-
Print the sheet with all the QR codes
Print QR codes, at the top of the page, opens a sheet with the QR codes of all active tables, three per row, each with its name and link. The print window opens on its own. To print just one, use Print inside that table's card.
-
Stick it on the table and test with your phone
Stick the QR code where a seated guest can see it: on the tabletop, on a table tent or on the napkin holder. Then take your phone, point the camera and check that the table's page opens straight to the menu. If you want a bigger poster for the counter or to post online, your restaurant's public page has Share, with an image or PDF to download that already has your logo.
-
Rename, deactivate or remove later
Rename edits the name right there on the card. To take out a table that's no longer in the dining room, use Remove — if it already has orders in its history, we deactivate it instead of deleting it, so the past stays intact; the button then becomes Reactivate. An inactive table doesn't take new orders and isn't included on the print sheet.
Frequently asked questions
Do guests need to download an app to use the table QR code?+
No. The QR code opens a regular page in the phone's browser, with no sign-in and no installation. There's no qmen.us app in any store.
Can I change a table's number after creating it?+
The number or code doesn't change, because it's part of the link and it's what keeps the printed QR code working. What you can change freely is the name shown on the card. If you need a different code, create a new table and remove the old one.
What happens if I remove a table that already had orders?+
It isn't deleted: it's deactivated, to keep the order history. The table drops off the print sheet and stops taking new orders, but it can come back with Reactivate.
Can I print the QR code for just one table?+
Yes. Inside the table's card there's a Print button that opens the sheet with just that QR code. The button at the top of the page prints all active tables at once.
Can a table have a name instead of a number?+
Yes. The name is an optional field, and it's what shows on the card and on the printed sheet — Window table, Patio 1, whatever makes sense in your restaurant. Without a name, we show Table plus the code.
Is there a charge per table?+
No. qmen.us is free for the restaurant and charges no commission per order, so creating as many tables as you have changes nothing on your bill. We don't process payments either: PIX (Brazil's instant payment system) or cash is arranged directly between the guest and the restaurant.
