Download the CSV report and open it in your spreadsheet

The Export CSV button, on the Reports screen, downloads a file with the revenue, orders and best-selling items for the period you chose. Here we show where it is, what's inside and how to open it in Excel or Google Sheets without garbling the accents.

Quick answer

Open the Dashboard, tap Reports, choose the period and tap Export CSV. The browser downloads a CSV report with the period summary, day-by-day revenue and your restaurant's best-selling items. You can open it in Excel or Google Sheets and send it to your accountant.

What the spreadsheet export is

The CSV report is the spreadsheet version of the Reports screen. CSV is just a text file with values separated by commas: Excel, LibreOffice and Google Sheets open it as a table, each number in its own cell. We build the file on the spot, using the period selected on the screen.

Inside are four blocks: the header with the restaurant name and the period; a summary line with revenue, orders, average order and prep time; the day-by-day revenue table; and the list of best-selling items, with quantity and amount. It's deliberately short: enough to add up, filter and send by email.

Why downloading the spreadsheet is worth the tap

  • Numbers in cells, not pictures. On screen the data is a chart; in the spreadsheet it's numbers again, just the way you need them to add up, filter and compare with what's in your account.
  • Your accountant gets something they can use. Instead of a screenshot to retype, they open the spreadsheet, copy the columns and get to work.
  • You can stack months. Download one file per month and paste them one below the other in a single tab: before long you have the whole year's history, and it stays on your computer, independent of any screen.
  • No setup, no cost. It's one tap, with no plan, no integration and no commission per order: qmen.us is free for the restaurant.

How to export the CSV report in 6 steps

There are six steps: three to download the file, one to open it in a spreadsheet and two to understand what's inside before passing it on.

  1. Open Reports from the Dashboard

Sign in to the Dashboard and tap Reports, up in the top corner. It's the screen with revenue, orders, average order and prep time — and that's where the file comes from. It runs in the browser on a computer or phone: qmen.us isn't in any app store, so there's nothing to install.

  2. Choose the period

At the top are the 7 days, 30 days and 90 days buttons. The Compare with previous period switch only changes the chart on screen; it doesn't go into the file. Check the period before exporting: it determines how many rows the spreadsheet will have.

  3. Tap Export CSV

The Export CSV button is at the top, next to Export PDF (which opens the page's print view, with the charts). When you tap it, a small Exporting CSV… notice appears and the download starts, with a name like report-2026-08-23-to-2026-09-21.csv — the period's dates are already in the name.

Tip: Using the button, the file covers the chosen number of days ending today. If you want a full calendar month, change the dates at the end of the address: /restaurante/relatorios/csv/?from=2026-08-01&to=2026-08-31.
  4. Open it in Excel or Google Sheets

On a computer, double-clicking the downloaded file opens it in Excel or LibreOffice with the accents right — we mark the file as UTF-8 for exactly that reason. In Google Sheets, go to File, Import, upload the file and choose to open it in a new spreadsheet.

  5. Check what's inside

The first row has Report and the restaurant name; the second, the Period with the two dates and the number of days. Next comes the summary row with Revenue, Orders, Average order and Prep (min). Then the Date, Revenue and Orders table, one day per row, and finally Best-selling item, Qty and Revenue, with up to six items.

  6. Know what's left out

Sales by category, orders by hour, table occupancy and performance by waiter live only on screen: to put those on paper, use Export PDF. And the file is a sales summary, not a tax document: qmen.us doesn't issue tax invoices and doesn't process money — PIX is arranged directly between the customer and you.

Frequently asked questions

Which orders count?+

The orders that were sent to the kitchen and weren't cancelled: sent, Preparing, Ready and Served. Draft orders and cancelled orders are left out, and a cancelled item inside a valid order counts as zero. The date used is the date the order was sent.

Do the amounts come with cents and R$?+

They come out as plain numbers, without the R$. Revenue is rounded to whole reais and the average order has two decimal places, using a period instead of a comma. If your spreadsheet is set to Portuguese, you may need to swap the period for a comma in the average order column so it adds up correctly.

Can I export the list of orders, one per row?+

Not from here. The CSV is a summary: header, totals row, day-by-day revenue and best-selling items. To see order by order, with the table, waiter and items, use the Dashboard and each order's page.

I opened the file and the accents came out wrong. Now what?+

It's almost always the spreadsheet guessing the wrong encoding. The file is already marked as UTF-8, so the fix is to reopen it choosing UTF-8 on import. In Google Sheets, importing the file instead of pasting its contents usually solves it.

Do I have to pay anything to export?+

No. qmen.us is free for the restaurant, doesn't charge commission per order and exporting is part of Reports.
