Open Settings, scroll down to the Danger zone and choose: deleting the restaurant erases tables, kitchens, waiters, menu and history, and your account becomes a guest profile; Delete my account erases all of that and your sign-in too. You type the name or the email to confirm, and it can't be undone.
What the Danger zone in Settings is
Deleting your restaurant and deleting your account are two different actions that live in the same place: the Danger zone, a red-bordered block that stays closed at the end of the restaurant's Settings page. You click the title to open it, and only the owner can get there — waiters and the kitchen see none of it.
Inside there are three paths. Transfer restaurant hands the whole restaurant over to another qmen.us account and you stop being the owner instantly. Delete restaurant erases the restaurant and everything attached to it, but keeps your sign-in alive as a guest profile. Delete my account erases your user and, if you own a restaurant, takes it along. The last two are permanent: there's no trash, no backup to ask for later.
Why we ask you to type the name
- There's no undo. Once the confirmation goes through, qmen.us really deletes: tables, kitchens, waiters, menu and the whole order history are gone from the database. Not even we can bring them back.
- They're two doors with different destinations. Deleting the restaurant leaves you as a guest, with the same sign-in and your visit history. Deleting the account takes both and signs you out instantly.
- The confirmation is typed, not just a click. The red button starts out disabled and only becomes active when you type the restaurant's name (or your email) exactly. After that the browser still asks if you're sure.
- If you just want out, you can transfer. If the restaurant keeps running with someone else, transferring beats deleting: the menu, tables, team and history stay in place, only the owner changes.
- There's no contract to cancel first. qmen.us is free for the restaurant, charges no commission per order and doesn't process money: PIX, Brazil's instant payment system, is arranged directly between the customer and the restaurant. Nobody will bill you for anything afterward.
How to delete your restaurant or account in 6 steps
Six steps: two to decide and save what matters, one to reach the Danger zone and three to confirm the right way.
-
Decide between transferring and deleting
The Danger zone has three blocks, and it's worth stopping for two minutes before you choose. If the restaurant stays open with someone else in charge, use Transfer restaurant: it hands menu, tables, team and history over to another account, which must have signed in to qmen.us at least once. If it's really over, then yes, delete.
-
Save what you want to keep
Once you confirm, you can't ask for any report. Stop by Reports, choose the period and tap Export CSV or Export PDF to keep revenue and orders on your computer. If your menu photos only exist here, download them too.
Tip: The CSV opens straight in Excel or Google Sheets, so it's the right format for running numbers later. -
Open the Danger zone in Settings
On the Dashboard, tap the Settings gear. Scroll to the bottom of the page, past General, identity and hours, until you find the red Danger zone block. It's closed on purpose: click the title to open it and show the three options.
-
Delete only the restaurant
In the Delete restaurant block, type the restaurant's name exactly as it appears there — accents, capitals and spaces count. The Delete restaurant button only becomes clickable when the text matches, and the browser still asks for confirmation. Once you confirm, tables, kitchens, waiters, menu and history are gone, you go back to the home page and a message says your account is now a guest profile.
-
Delete your whole account
In the Delete my account block, type your email in the field (capitals don't matter here) and tap Delete my account. Confirm the browser's question. This erases your user, the restaurant you own, its history and your visits as a guest — and you're signed out at the same moment, back on the home page.
-
Know what happens if you mistype
If the name or the email doesn't match what's on file, qmen.us deletes nothing: it sends you back to Settings with a message that the text doesn't match. Closing the tab halfway doesn't delete anything either. Everything only happens after the red button.
Frequently asked questions
Can I recover it after I confirm?+
No. There's no trash, no grace period and no way to ask support to restore it: the record leaves the database instantly. To use qmen.us again you create a new restaurant from scratch, with new tables and QR codes.
Does deleting the restaurant delete my account too?+
No. Your sign-in keeps existing as a guest profile, with your visits and ratings. If you ever want to open another restaurant, just create a new one — each account can own one restaurant at a time.
Do the table QR codes keep working?+
They stop working. The tables disappear along with the restaurant, so the table QR code printed and stuck on the table no longer opens the menu. If you're only transferring the restaurant, the QR codes keep working as usual.
I'm a waiter at another restaurant. What happens if I delete my account?+
The waiter profile stays at the other person's restaurant; it just loses its connection to your sign-in. If you sign in to qmen.us again with the same email from the invite, the connection comes back on its own. Only the owner there can actually remove your access.
Do I need to cancel a subscription first?+
No. qmen.us is free for the restaurant, charges no commission per order and isn't a marketplace. Since we don't process money, there's no balance or payout to settle before deleting.
When does my team lose access?+
Instantly. The waiter and kitchen passwords disappear with the restaurant, the kitchen display stops opening and the public page goes offline. Tell your team beforehand, because nobody gets an automatic notice of the deletion.
