On qmen.us the digital menu is free: guests scan the table QR code, see photos and prices and order, and the order goes straight to the kitchen.
Create a free digital menuA printed menu you update yourself
Having menus printed professionally is expensive, and they're out of date at the first price change. With this template you type, pick a style and print at home or at a copy shop as often as you need.
Your menu is saved in your browser. When a price changes, open this page again, fix it and print. To save a PDF, choose "Save as PDF" in the print window.
Tips for a menu that sells
- Lead with your best sellers and your best-margin dishes. Eyes land on the top of each section first.
- Describe each dish in a few words, with what makes it special: "fresh pasta", "smoked in house".
- Avoid a neat column of prices that invites guests to compare on price alone. The Modern style puts the price right after the name.
- Make it clear what serves two, what's priced by weight and what's vegetarian or gluten-free.
- Print on heavier paper (180 gsm or more) and laminate it, or use a menu cover.
How to make your menu
Pick a style
Classic, Modern, Chalkboard or Minimal, in a color that suits your place. The preview changes instantly.
Type sections and dishes
Make sections like Starters, Mains and Drinks. For each dish, add a name, a price and, if you like, a short description.
Set columns and paper
Two columns fit more dishes on a page. The preview tells you if the menu runs past one page.
Print or save as PDF
In the print window, use 100% scale and turn on "Background graphics" so the Chalkboard style prints with its dark background.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to use the template?
No. The template is free and works without signing up. Your menu is saved only in this browser.
How do I save the menu as a PDF?
Tap "Print or save as PDF" and choose "Save as PDF" instead of a printer. On a phone, it's in the share options of the print screen.
The chalkboard background didn't print. What now?
In the print window, open "More settings" and turn on "Background graphics". Without it, the browser saves ink by printing the background white.
Can I put a QR code on the printed menu?
Yes. Paste your online menu link in the footer and a QR code appears at the bottom of the page, so guests can find photos and specials on their phone.
