Upload your logo and give the page your restaurant's colors

Your public page already works without any logo, but it looks like software, not a restaurant. One image takes care of both at once: the logo goes at the top of the menu and its colors become the page background, without you choosing a single color.

Quick answer

In Settings, General card, uploading your logo is just tapping Choose logo, picking the image and saving. On Save we read the file and pull two accent colors from it; with the Brand header style, the top of the public menu comes out in those colors.

What the public menu header is

Uploading your logo means filling in an image field in the General card in Settings, next to the restaurant's name. That image becomes your restaurant's brand inside qmen.us: it appears at the top of the public menu, in that colored block we call the header, and also on the order tracking screen, the one the guest opens after scanning the table QR code.

The detail that changes everything is what happens on Save: we open the image, discard the colorless pixels — near white, near black, gray — and keep the two most vivid colors left, one as the main color and another quite different from it. Those two colors are the header gradient in the Brand style. There's no field to pick a color by hand: they change when the logo changes, and a logo with no vivid color leaves the header on the default qmen.us gradient.

Why the top of your page deserves the effort

  • The color comes from your logo, not a picker. Nobody needs to know the brand's color code or open an image editor. You upload the logo, we figure out the two colors and build the gradient — and if management changes the brand, just upload the new one and save.
  • Guests recognize the restaurant before reading the name. The logo appears at the top of the menu and keeps appearing on the order tracker. Anyone who scanned the table QR code sees your brand the whole time, not a generic software page.
  • The same colors go on the poster and the link. Your page's Share button makes posters as an image and as a PDF with the QR code, and their background is built from your logo's two colors. The same goes for the image that shows when someone pastes the link into WhatsApp.
  • A wide logo doesn't get cropped. We measure the image's proportions and reserve the right space for it, up to one and a half times wider than it is tall. A banner-shaped brand fits whole, without turning into a chopped-up little square.
  • It costs nothing. qmen.us runs in the browser, with no app to download, is free for the restaurant and charges no commission per order. Making the page look like your restaurant is part of the package, not a separate plan.

How to upload your logo and set your colors in 7 steps

Seven steps in a single card, and the only real work is finding the logo file on your phone. No step asks for code, hex colors or a designer's help.

  1. Open your restaurant Settings

On the Dashboard, go to Settings (the address is qmen.us/restaurante/configuracoes/). Everything we'll touch is in the first card on the page, General: it holds the name, logo, photo, description and phone numbers. There's no separate appearance screen.

  2. While you're at it, upload a photo of the place

The next field is Restaurant photo: the storefront, the dining room or a good-looking dish. It works just like the logo — the Choose photo button, drag or paste. Below it is Description, a sentence or two that appear under the name on the public menu.

  3. Choose the header style

Scroll down to Header style. There are four: Brand (photo + logo colors), which comes selected, Cream (light), Dark and Cover (photo). Brand is the only one that uses the colors taken from your logo; the other three ignore them and follow a fixed look.

  4. Adjust the gradient and the background photo

Next to it, Gradient (Brand style) appears with Diagonal, Vertical and Radial — this field disappears on its own if you choose another style, because it only applies to Brand. Below, the Use the photo in the header switch decides whether the photo goes behind the colors or the top shows only the gradient.

  5. Tap Save

Go to the end of the form and tap Save. That's when we read the image, shrink it and pull the two accent colors — there's no separate button for this, and no field to type a color. Once saved, you're back on the Dashboard.

  6. Open your public page and check it

At the top of the Dashboard is your restaurant's address, like qmen.us/your-code. Tap it to open the Public page in a new tab: the logo should be in the header and the background in your colors. If you don't like the gradient, go back to Settings and switch Diagonal to Vertical or Radial.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I choose the two header colors?+

Nowhere — there's no color field in Settings. The two colors come from the logo itself: we read the image on Save and keep its strongest color and a second color quite different from the first. To change the colors, you change the logo.

My logo is black and white. What happens?+

Nothing breaks. We ignore pixels that are near white, near black or colorless, so a monochrome logo ends up with no accent colors and the Brand style falls back to the default qmen.us gradient. In that case, Cream (light), Dark or Cover (photo) usually looks better.

What file format and size should I upload?+

PNG or JPG, as the text under the field says. You don't need to prepare anything: on upload we convert the image and shrink it on our end, the logo to 512 pixels on its longest side and the restaurant photo to 1600. A PNG with a transparent background looks cleanest in the header.

I changed the logo and the colors stayed the same. Why?+

The colors are recalculated whenever the logo changes — when you upload a new one, replace it or check Remove current logo. If the public page still shows the old look, it's almost always the browser cache: do a hard refresh, or open it in a private tab.

Does the logo only appear on the menu?+

No. It appears at the top of the public menu and also on the order tracker, the screen the guest sees after scanning the table QR code. And the poster from the Share button, as an image or PDF, builds its background from the same two colors in your logo.

Can I use just the photo, with no logo at all?+

Yes. Choose the Cover (photo) style and upload a good photo in the Restaurant photo field: the restaurant's name appears on top of it. Without a logo, we have nowhere to pull color from, so the Brand style stays on the default qmen.us gradient.
