In Settings, under Payments, tap Connect Mercado Pago, sign in to your account and authorize qmen.us. Then turn on PIX on the table bill and PIX payment. When the guest pays, the table bill is marked paid and the delivery order goes to the kitchen by themselves, with nothing for you to confirm.
What the Mercado Pago connection is
It links your restaurant on qmen.us to your own Mercado Pago account. With it, every PIX is created in your account and qmen.us knows the moment the payment lands. That's why the table bill and the delivery order settle themselves, without your manual okay.
The section exists only for restaurants that charge in Brazilian reais (BRL), because PIX and Mercado Pago are Brazilian. And only the owner sees it: a partner or staff member managing the restaurant on the owner's behalf can't connect or disconnect it.
Why connect
- No more checking the statement. The payment confirms the bill or the order the instant it lands, even at the dinner rush.
- The money is yours, directly. It goes to your Mercado Pago account. qmen.us never receives it and charges no commission.
- The table pays without waiting for the waiter. The guest sees the bill on their phone and pays; the waiter and the Dashboard already show it as paid.
- The kitchen only cooks paid orders. For delivery, the order reaches the kitchen only after the PIX is confirmed.
- Abandoned orders clear themselves. If the customer gives up, the order is cancelled when the PIX expires, and a PIX paid on an already cancelled order is refunded automatically.
How to connect Mercado Pago, step by step
Eight steps: three to connect, three for the table bill and two for delivery orders.
-
Open the Payments section
On the Dashboard, open Settings and scroll to the Payments section. If it isn't there, check two things: that you signed in with the owner's account, and that the restaurant is set to charge in reais.
-
Connect your Mercado Pago account
Tap Connect Mercado Pago. You're taken to Mercado Pago, where you sign in to your account and authorize qmen.us. Back in Settings, the section shows the connected account. To remove the link at any time, tap Disconnect.
-
Check your PIX key in Mercado Pago
Your Mercado Pago account needs a registered PIX key, otherwise the PIX has nowhere to go. You set that up in the Mercado Pago app, not in qmen.us.
-
Turn on PIX for the table bill
Still under Payments, in the Table bill block, turn on PIX on the table bill and save. From then on, the table page the guest opens from the table QR shows a Pay the bill with PIX card.
-
The guest pays from the table page
The card shows the bill, with the items and, when there are any, the service charge and the tip, plus what's already paid and what's left to pay. The guest signs in with their Google account, because Mercado Pago needs the payer's email, taps the pay button and gets a QR code and a copy-and-paste code. If two phones at the same table open the PIX, both get the same one. Each PIX is valid for 30 minutes.
-
The bill is marked paid by itself
When the payment lands, the bill is marked paid on the waiter's phone and on your Dashboard, just like tapping Mark as paid. Items ordered after the payment stay open and can be paid with a new PIX.
-
Turn on PIX for delivery orders
In the Delivery orders block, turn on PIX payment. It applies to delivery orders placed through the automatic chat ordering on your page, so the chat must be on, with delivery orders on too. With Mercado Pago connected, you don't type any PIX key into qmen.us.
-
The delivery order goes to the kitchen by itself
The chat asks the customer to sign in with Google and shows Mercado Pago's QR code. The order goes to the kitchen only once the payment is confirmed, without you touching anything. If the customer leaves without paying, the order is cancelled automatically when the PIX expires.
Tip: If the Mercado Pago connection expires or is revoked, the Payments section asks you to reconnect. Until then, PIX through Mercado Pago isn't offered to guests.
Frequently asked questions
Does qmen.us keep any part of the money?+
No. The PIX is created in your Mercado Pago account and the amount goes straight into it. qmen.us never receives that money and charges no commission per order or per paid bill.
Do I need to enter my PIX key in qmen.us?+
Not with Mercado Pago connected. You just need a PIX key registered in the Mercado Pago account itself. Without Mercado Pago, the older flow stays: you type your PIX key in Settings and check each delivery order on the Dashboard with Confirm payment.
The guest ordered more after paying the table. Now what?+
The new items stay open on the bill. The card on the table page shows what's left to pay, and the guest can pay the difference with a new PIX.
Two people at the table opened the PIX. Do they pay twice?+
No. Phones at the same table get the same PIX, so the bill is paid only once. If the PIX goes past 30 minutes unpaid, just create another.
What if a PIX is paid on a delivery order that was already cancelled?+
The amount is refunded to the customer automatically. That happens, for example, when the PIX is paid after the order was cancelled for not being paid in time.
Does it work for restaurants that don't charge in reais?+
No. PIX and Mercado Pago are only for restaurants charging in Brazilian reais (BRL). In any other currency, the Mercado Pago payments section doesn't appear in Settings.
